Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is being asked by the West to speed up the supply of heavy weapons and the imposition of an embargo on Russian energy resources. Otherwise, the Office of the President sees no reason for the Russian troops to stop destroying Ukraine. Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the President's Office, wrote this on Twitter.
"If we do not provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons (heavy artillery and air defense) and if we do not impose real sanctions tomorrow (direct/indirect energy embargo), how do our Western partners see the war ending? Why will the Russians have to stop killing and destroying Ukraine?", Podolyak noted.
If you don't equip Ukraine with the necessary weapons (heavy artillery & air defense) & if you don't impose real sanctions tomorrow (direct/indirect energy embargo), how exactly do our Western partners see the end of the war? Why must Russians stop killing & destroying Ukraine?
