US President Joe Biden has ordered to allocate additional military aid to Ukraine in the amount of up to 100 million dollars. This is stated in a statement published on the White House website.
Biden noted that under the U.S. constitution and laws, he delegates authority to the secretary of state to "direct the $100 million withdrawal, which was earmarked for Defense Department defense spending, military education and training, to assist Ukraine."
He authorized Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to make the necessary decisions to divert the funds.
Recall that the World Bank together with the Ukrainian Ministry of Education agreed to allocate 100 million dollars to support Ukrainian higher education.
