Expert of the Center for Defense Strategies Viktor Kevlyuk believes that Ukraine needs anti-ship missiles and long-range weaponry to be able to destroy the enemy at a considerable distance.
He expressed this opinion on the air of "Espresso.TV"
"We have everything we need to win - the battle flag and the will to win. There are the armed forces of Ukraine, which will do all this, the only question is how quickly. To accelerate our victory, in my opinion, we lack the means of long-range fire. If Ukraine has parity with the Russian Federation in artillery systems, the long-range weapon systems are a problem," explained Kevlyuk.
Kevlyuk explained that Russia's possession of Iskander missile defense systems makes it possible to target the entire territory of Ukraine from the territory of Belarus.
"Ukraine has nothing to respond to the Iskander SAMs, which can strike the entire Ukrainian territory from the territory of Belarus. Russia uses air-launched cruise missiles from outside the range of our air defenses. We are in a situation where we are forced to act passively, only intercepting cruise missiles. That's why Ukraine needs long-range firepower to be able to reach the enemy at long ranges," Kevlyuk added.
