Russia will try to settle in the south and east of Ukraine. If we want to expel the occupants, we cannot do without heavy weapons. This opinion was expressed by Mykhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Presidential Office.
"Afghanistan and a long, debilitating conflict, as someone expects, will not happen. The Russian Federation will withdraw from all territories, except for the south and the east, it will try to entrench itself there, put up air defenses, drastically reduce losses and dictate the terms. We can't do without heavy weapons if we want to take the Russians out," Podolyak wrote on Twitter.
There’ll be no “Afghanization” & no long conflict exhausting RF as someone expects. RF will leave all territories except the south & east, will try to dig in there, set air defense, drastically reduce losses & dictate terms. Without heavy weapons we won’t be able to drive RF out
