Putin is looking for someone to blame for the failure of the war in Ukraine.
In order to justify the failure of Russian aggression against Ukraine, the Kremlin will appoint someone to blame for the betrayal.
This remains the only possible option for Vladimir Putin in a situation of military defeat in Ukraine, as Oleksiy Arestovich, advisor to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, said.
"And if there is no victory, there is only one explanation in Russia - treason. And someone will be appointed a traitor. That is, Putin to come out victorious, if not in Ukraine, then in the internal conspiracy that was against Russia, and need to find the conspirator, cut off his head, become the victor, and then wisely make a peace that will save Europe. In fact, this is the only option now for Putin. Even if he succeeds, that's still the only overall option," Arestovich said.
He added that the occupants of the Russian Federation, having a strategic task, have not accomplished a single operational one. During the battles, they did not defeat a single unit, not a single Ukrainian brigade.
