President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili said that the country joins all sanctions against Russia. She said this on CNN.
"We participate in all international financial sanctions against Russia, and it really already means something for our financial sector," Zurabishvili said.
She said Georgia also supports all international resolutions in support of Ukraine.
In late February, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced that the country's authorities would not support economic and financial sanctions against Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine.
According to him, the sanctions would allegedly "harm Georgia's national interests.
Against the backdrop of Tbilisi's position, Ukraine recalled its ambassador from Georgia.
