NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that he expects additional offensive actions by Russia, which "will bring more suffering. This was reported by CNN.
"Russian units are not withdrawing, but redeploying. Russia is trying to regroup, resupply and intensify its offensive in the Donbass. At the same time, Russia maintains pressure on Kiev and other cities. We can expect additional offensives that will bring more suffering," Stoltenberg said, citing intelligence data.
He called for an end to "this senseless war, withdraw all your troops and begin negotiations in good faith.
"We have heard recent statements that Russia will scale back military operations around Kiev and in northern Ukraine. But Russia has repeatedly lied about its intentions, so we can only judge Russia by its actions, not its words," the NATO secretary general added.
