Russia regroups troops for an offensive in eastern Ukraine - General Staff

The Russian Federation is regrouping some troops for an offensive in eastern Ukraine. In particular, the enemy is using trains to transfer forces from Belarus to Russian territory.

This is reported by the General Staff of the AFU.

"The enemy is taking measures to regroup and form groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for the purpose of an offensive in the Eastern operating zone. The transfer of part of the enemy troops and equipment from the territory of the Republic of Belarus to the territory of the Russian Federation by railway transport has been recorded," the report reads.

It is also reported that the main efforts of the Russian enemy are aimed at maintaining the occupied borders, preparing for the resumption of offensive actions in certain areas and establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

There is a threat of the use of missile weapons by the Russian enemy at the facilities of the defense-industrial complex and logistics infrastructure of Ukraine.

Additional units of the Russian Armed Forces are being redeployed to Ukraine to carry out combat operations. At the same time, some Russian enemy military units have already exhausted the possibility of forming reserves.

In the Volyn direction, no significant changes in the composition and deployment of the Russian enemy's troops have been noted. The Russian enemy continues to conduct demonstrations in this direction.

In the Polisska direction, the main efforts of the enemy are aimed at withdrawing units from the territory of Ukraine, restoring combat readiness and probably redeploying to other directions. In particular, the enemy is moving units of the 35th, 36th Air Force and 76th Airborne Assault Division of the Airborne Troops from OK Polissya.

In order to ensure the withdrawal of troops, the occupiers are firing artillery at the positions of AFU units and remotely mining the area by means prohibited by international conventions.

Due to the critical situation, the withdrawal of units of the 35th Air Force is organized personally by the commander of the army, Lieutenant General Alexander Sanchik.

According to available information, during the fighting against Ukraine, the losses of the 1st motorized rifle battalion of the 36th separate motorized rifle brigade (unit 06705, Borzya) of the 29th Air Force amounted to more than 60% of the personnel.

In the Siversky direction, the Russian enemy is operating with the help of separate units of the 2nd, 41st Air Force and the 90th Tank Division of the Central Army.

Russian occupants continue to blockade and carry out artillery attacks on Chernihiv. They are fixed on the occupied borders and regrouping. The Russian enemy uses UAVs to conduct reconnaissance and regulate artillery fire.

On the Brovary direction, the enemy continues to withdraw units, probably to areas bordering the Russian Federation.

Some units remain in positions and checkpoints along transport links and on approaches to temporarily occupied settlements, mines.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the Russian enemy continues to carry out artillery shelling of the city of Kharkiv.

In the direction of Sloviansk, the enemy continues to regroup troops and replenish ammunition and fuel and oil with some units.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian enemy concentrates its efforts on seizing control of the settlements of Popasna, Rubizhne, as well as capturing the city of Mariupol.

The Russian enemy intensified airstrikes using operational and tactical aviation on troops and facilities in the areas of Lysychansk, Rubizhne, Popasna and Kreminna.

In the Tavria direction, near Novaya Kakhovka, the enemy deployed a logistics base and is not taking active action.

In the Yuzhno-Bugsk direction, the Russian enemy is taking measures to restore combat readiness and continues to provide engineering support. It tries to block the actions of AFU units with artillery fire.
