Intensive consultations on international guarantees and cease-fire: Podolyak on negotiations between Ukraine and Russia

There are currently intensive consultations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Turkey on several important issues, in particular international security guarantees for Ukraine and a cease-fire to solve all humanitarian problems. Mykhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, said this during an interim briefing.

"It will be a short interim briefing, because right now there are intensive consultations on several important issues, the key one is the treaty on international security guarantees for Ukraine, and only with this treaty can we end the war the way Ukraine needs it," Podolyak said.

According to him, the second issue concerns the cease-fire.

"The second equally important issue, a block of issues, is the issue of the ceasefire, for the sake of the fact that we can solve all the humanitarian problems that have already accumulated. They sufficiently require solutions immediately, and now there is a conversation about it," Podolyak said.

As a reminder, the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia started in Turkey's Istanbul, the first round of talks is held by the heads of the delegations.
