Operational information as of 18.00 on 27.03.2022 on the Russian invasion.

The thirty-second day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion. The enemy continues to conduct full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

The enemy in the temporarily occupied territories continues to violate the requirements of International Humanitarian Law by abducting and intimidating local residents, holding Ukrainian citizens hostage.

Due to the violation by the units of the Defense Forces of the logistics of the Russian occupants, in the settlements of Ivankov and Oran the occupants ask the population for food, behave non-aggressively, no facts of looting have been recorded.

The militarization of the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl NPP by Russian occupation troops continues. This seriously increases the risk of damage to the isolation structures built over the fourth power unit of the plant after the explosion in 1986. Such damage would inevitably lead to the release of significant amounts of radioactive dust into the atmosphere and contaminate not only Ukraine but also other countries in Europe. Russian occupation troops ignore the threats and reservations and continue to transport and store significant quantities of munitions in the immediate vicinity of the nuclear plant.

Dozens of tons of rockets, shells for artillery, mortar ammunition are transported daily by units of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces from the logistics base deployed in the Narovlya district of the Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus. The transport corridor of the invaders passes through the town of Pripyat and a few hundred meters from the isolation facilities of the nuclear power plant. Further storage of ammunition is carried out in the town of Chernobyl, which is also a short distance from the nuclear plant. The occupants have set up a temporary control post of a group of troops of the Eastern Military District and the command post of the 38th Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade in the town of Chernobyl.

According to available information, the Russian occupation troops are increasingly using old and substandard munitions. The 165th Artillery Brigade from Belogorsk, Amur Region, which is part of the group, has been authorized to use such ammunition. This increases the risk of their detonation even during loading and transportation. The facts of such self-detonation of ammunition in Russian military depots and arsenals are well known and occur regularly. The defense forces continue to systematically damage the enemy on all fronts.
