The Russian military has begun to have problems with financing. This was stated in the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"After the promised payments to the military of the occupation army, Russian military units had problems with financing. As it turned out, the payment of these expenses is not provided for in the budget in any way. And due to the unsatisfactory state of the Russian financial system because of the imposed sanctions, it is impossible to find additional funds in the budget," the Defense Ministry's GUR said in a statement.
According to the SMM, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, after the payment of "mission allowances" to those who took part in the war against Ukraine, the limit of funds of military units for February has been completely exhausted. There is no funding for any payments for March.
"A similar situation is with the payment of mercenaries of Russian "private military campaigns" participating in the war. Among them, cases of refusal to leave the territory of Ukraine are becoming more frequent. The reason is the failure to fulfill the terms of their contracts. The fighters do not receive funds for participation in combat operations, compensation for wounds and promised 'social guarantees,'" the Ukrainian intelligence noted.
