President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to see Israel as one of the guarantors of Ukraine's security after the war with Russia ends. They also expect an effective mediation role in ending Russian aggression. This was announced by the head of the Office of the Head of State Andriy Yermak during an interaction with the Israeli media.
"Ukraine would like the State of Israel to become one of the guarantors of a major international treaty that would give clear guarantees of security to our country after the end of the war with Russia, and also hopes for an effective mediatory role of Israel in ending the war and powerful assistance to our country," Yermak said.
According to him, there is also hope that Israel can act as one of the guarantors of a future large international treaty on security guarantees for Ukraine.
"Such a treaty provides for a large list of potential guarantor countries. Therefore, we are holding separate consultations with each of these countries in order to then meet all together," Yermak summarized.
