The Russian occupants are planning to organize a "great terror" in temporarily occupied Kherson. The Times reports this, citing a letter from an FSB official.
The letter says that the Kremlin does not want to "play nice" with the protesters.
They plan to pick up residents in the middle of the night: "Even if we have to pick up half the city, we are ready for it.
In addition, the FSB says that if they were able to locate the leaders of the protest movement, these people have already been eliminated. The only thing saving the demonstrators is that the Russian special services don't know who exactly they have to capture.
There are also fears that the transition to violence may lead to a real revolt, which can only be suppressed by extensive fighting. According to the newspaper's source in the FSB, over the past few days, "from the very top" there has been an order to find a solution.
The "Big Terror," coordinated by the special services, will aim to reduce the protests by "extremely harsh dispersal methods," including "heavy wounding" of individual protesters.
The second phase would consist of "door-to-door terror" with the abduction and removal of residents to the Russian Federation.
Russian occupants have temporarily controlled Kherson and the surrounding area since March 2. Since then, local residents have been constantly coming out to pro-Ukrainian rallies.
Thanks to strong resistance from civil society, the Russians have failed the propaganda campaign with the "recognition of the 'KhNR.
At the same time, there are reports from various cities temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation about the forced removal of Ukrainian citizens to Russia, where people are sent to filtration camps.
