The European Union has already allocated one billion euros from the European Peace Fund to Ukraine. The aid is aimed at the purchase of weapons. This was announced in a statement by President of the European Council Charles Michel during a briefing.

"The EU has already allocated Ukraine 1 billion euros for the purchase of weapons from the European Peace Fund," he said.
