The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated the commander of the Russian Marine brigade, Colonel Sharov, in occupied Mariupol. He commanded the infantrymen who were to storm Odesa, but were eliminated near Mykolaiv and Mariupol. This was reported today, March 23, by the speaker of the Operational Staff of the Odesa regional military administration Sergiy Bratchuk.
"The commander of the Russian Marine infantry brigade was destroyed by our military. And so it will be with anyone who will rape Ukrainian women, who will try to kill our children! And there is no forgiveness for them...," Bratchuk said.
He also posted a photo with the caption: "Cargo 200. Commander of the 810th Guards Brigade of the Order of Zhukov, Colonel Alexei Sharov (in Mariupol)."
As a reminder, on the 28th day of the war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding back the Russian offensive on Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Popasna, Malin, Kriviy Rig, and defending Chernihiv, Mariupol, Mykolaiv, and the Black Sea coast.
Meanwhile, the Russian military fired five rockets in the Odesa region, with no casualties.
On March 21, the Russian military shelled Odesa with shipboard artillery, with no casualties.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian occupants mined the recommended routes from the Bosphorus to Odesa, claiming that Ukraine allegedly did so.
According to Arestovich, the Ukrainian military destroyed 3 Russian strike armies and 1 air force out of the 10 available to Russia.
