Already 121 children have died during the armed aggression of Russia, 167 have been wounded. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

"As of the 28th day of the Russian aggression in Ukraine, 121 children have died. Wounds of varying degrees of severity received 167 children. The most injured children in the Kiev region - 61, Kharkiv - 41, Donetsk - 40, Chernigiv - 32, Mykolaiv - 24, the capital Kyiv - 16, Zhitomyr - 15, Kherson - 15 and Sumy - 14 regions," - reported in the Prosecutor's Office.

In the Donetsk region, the Russian military continues to shell cities and residential areas where civilians are located. Thus, a 9-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were killed by Russian weapons, three children were wounded.

On March 17, 2022 Russian occupants ruthlessly killed a father of a large family in front of his 14-year-old son. The boy received bullet wounds. It happened when they were going to get humanitarian aid and medicine in the center of the occupied Bucha Kyiv region, where the family lived, because there was no gas, light, or water in the family's house for almost two weeks.

On the evening of March 22, 2022, an enemy shell hit an apartment building in Rubizhne, Luhansk Oblast. Three people died, two of them children.

It is also known that 548 educational institutions were damaged as a result of daily bombardment and shelling. Seventy-two of them were completely destroyed. This includes more than 220 schools and 155 kindergartens. The worst situation is in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, Chernigiv regions and in the city of Kyiv. In addition, more than 40 institutions for children were hit by enemy fire, including medical, art schools, sports facilities, and libraries, the UCP pointed out.
