The Russian army has begun drawing personnel from support units to direct combat operations, the press service of the AFU General Staff reported Monday.
"Given the large shortage of human resources, the enemy is forced to move reserves to the borders of Ukraine from the central and far eastern military districts, conduct covert mobilization and seek support from its small allies. Also, the occupiers continue the practice of involving the personnel of military units and support units in direct combat operations, which is evidence of the critical state of affairs in the Russian invading army," reads a message published on Facebook.
It specifies that in the Volyn, Polessk and Seversk directions the enemy is trying to organize engineering equipment to conduct position defense, restore the logistical support of its units.
In the direction of Chernihiv, the occupants did not conduct offensive actions. They continued shelling the positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces units and densely populated areas of the city.
While attempting an offensive in the direction of Brovary, the enemy suffered significant losses and was stopped. Attempts to carry out activities to restore the combat effectiveness and engineering equipment of the occupied lines.
"The enemy continues to insidiously destroy infrastructure in captured cities, launch missile and bomb strikes on peaceful quarters of Ukrainian cities and villages, rob, kidnap and take civilians hostage," the General Staff stresses.
They added that the adversary is concentrating its forces and means in certain directions in order to restore its attempts to carry out offensive actions.
