Captured Russian servicemen will be used to restore Ukraine's economic potential or maybe they will be exchanged - Yenin

Russian military personnel captured in Ukraine will, in accordance with international law, be used to restore Ukraine's economic potential and as an exchange fund, First Deputy Interior Minister Yevgeny Yenin said.

"Ukraine acts clearly in accordance with international norms of humanitarian law, in particular the Geneva Convention, which is an integral part of the national legislation of Ukraine. Certainly, the said captive Russian servicemen will be used to the maximum extent possible in the future to restore the economic potential of our country and as, perhaps, an exchange fund," Yenin said on the air of a national telethon on Saturday.

He specified that Ukraine is obliged to keep them in accordance with the norms of international law ratified by Kiev.
