"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria declared ten diplomats persona non grata, the wording is usual - "activities incompatible with their status. We take it as an extremely unfriendly act and reserve the right to retaliate," said Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria specified that the diplomats have 72 hours to leave the territory of the country.
"On the proposal of the competent authorities, agreed with Prime Minister Kirill Petkov, Bulgaria today declared ten Russian diplomats persona non grata, they are given a period of 72 hours to leave the country," said an official statement published on the website of the Foreign Ministry.
Latvia expels three members of the Russian embassy "due to the activities, contrary to their diplomatic status," said the head of the Foreign Ministry.
The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry declared four employees of the Russian embassy persona non grata and Estonia decided to expel three employees of the Russian embassy, TASS reported.
