Russian President Vladimir Putin in a conversation with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan named the main requirements for ending the war against Ukraine. It is assumed that they will form the basis of a peace agreement.
This is reported by the BBC.
According to the official representative of the President of Turkey Ibrahim Kalin, the requirements fall into two categories. The first includes Ukraine's consent to neutrality and rejection of the prospect of joining NATO. Kiev must also agree to disarmament, protection of the Russian language and "denationalization.
The second category of demands is related to the status of occupied Donbass and Crimea. According to Kalyn, this block of issues remains controversial. In fact, Ukraine is required to formally recognize the annexation of Crimea.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that Erdogan again proposed to hold talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Putin in Turkey. The Ukrainian side considers direct talks as the only way to end the war.
