The European Union has already allocated 600 million euros under the new program of macrofinancial assistance to Ukraine, today it is announced receipt of another 300 million euros. This was announced by the vice-president of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis in Twitter.
"Today Ukraine receives another 300 million euros of emergency macrofinancial assistance from the EU," Dombrovskis said.
According to the vice president of the European Commission, the EU will continue to provide political, financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
"For the first time ever, the EU will finance the purchase and delivery of weapons to a country that is under attack," he added.
On March 3, Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko signed a memorandum of understanding with the EU and a loan agreement that will allow Ukraine to receive a €1.2 billion loan of emergency macrofinancial assistance.
The European Union has also signed a memorandum between Ukraine and the EU on 1.2bn euros of macrofinancial assistance for Ukraine.
On 11 March, the Finance Ministry said that Ukraine received the first 300m euros under the European Union's macrofinancial assistance program.
