Despite the hostilities in Ukraine, the heads of the governments of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia will visit Kiev as part of the European Union mission. This was announced on his Facebook page by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
"Today, on the 20th day of Putin's criminal aggression against Ukraine, together with Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa, we are going to Kiev to show Ukrainians our solidarity," Morawiecki said.
According to Morawiecki, the visit is being carried out in agreement with the European Union. Charles Michel, President of the Council of the European Union, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and the UN have been alerted about it.
"At such critical times for the world, it is our duty to be where history is forged. Because it is not about us, but about the future of our children, who deserve to live in a world free of tyranny," the Polish Prime Minister stressed.
It should be noted that NATO leaders may meet as early as next week in Brussels to discuss the war in Ukraine. US President Joe Biden may join the meeting.
