Georgian President urged Zelensky to return the Ukrainian ambassador to Tbilisi

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili called on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to return the Ukrainian ambassador to Georgia to Tbilisi.

This is reported by News-Georgia.

The president made the statement, speaking in parliament on March 14.

"I appeal to my colleague and friend, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, and ask to return the ambassador, so that in these difficult times the connection between our peoples will be stronger," she said.

As a reminder, on March 1, Ukraine recalled its ambassador from Georgia for consultations due to the Georgian authorities' obstruction of departure of Georgian volunteers to Ukraine and sanctions against Russia. The ambassador to Kyrgyzstan was also recalled.
