The confrontation with Russia continues not only on the territory of Ukraine, but also in the information space. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote about it in his Twitter.
"The war is not only a military confrontation on the territory of Ukraine. There is also a fierce fight in the information space. I want to thank Meta and other platforms that take an active position, help and stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukrainians," the President wrote.
War is not only a military opposition on UA land. It is also a fierce battle in the informational space. I want to thank @Meta and other platforms that have an active position that help and stand side by side with the Ukrainians.
As it became known earlier, the parent company Meta decided to allow Facebook and Instagram users to post messages calling for violence against Russians and the presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko. The temporary change in the company's policy regarding hostile statements in publications is related to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
