The General Staff of the AFU released operational information as of 12.00 13.03.2022 on the Russian invasion.
"The enemy continues an offensive operation against Ukraine in the Polessky, Seversky, Slobozhansky, Donetsk, Tavrichesky and Yuzhnobuzhsky directions. The occupiers are conducting activities to restore combat readiness and regroup troops, as well as preparing to continue the offensive.
Russian war criminals carry out missile and bomb attacks and artillery strikes against civilian infrastructure in the Ukrainian cities of Chernihiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Mariupol, Avdeevka, Volnovakha and suburbs of large settlements throughout Ukraine, as well as against groups of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the regrouping of the enemy troops, additional units are being prepared for combat operations on the territory of Ukraine. Thus, according to the available information, during March 9-10, 800 servicemen of the 102nd military base (Gyumri, Armenia) of the Southern military district were moved to the Russian Federation for further deployment in the combat zone. Up to 1,500 men of the 40th Separate Marines Brigade (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky) of the Pacific Fleet are being sent to the Republic of Belarus in railway echelons. The 820 Main Missile Warning Center (Solnechnogorsk) is selecting personnel to take part in combat operations against Ukraine.
To urgently compensate for the losses of the occupation troops, the Russian Armed Forces are transferring a part of the "peacekeeping" contingent from Nagorno-Karabakh (Azerbaijan) to Ukraine. Also, according to available information, a large number of mercenary fighters from other countries (Syria, Serbia) are involved.
In the Volyn direction, the enemy did not carry out any offensive actions. The military leadership of the Republic of Belarus continues to take measures to strengthen the protection of the border with Ukraine. The possibility of direct participation of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus in the military operation against Ukraine on the side of the kafirs in the Volyn direction remains.
The enemy conducts aerial reconnaissance of military and civilian targets in Ukraine.
In the Polessk direction, the enemy holds positions in the Polesskoye, Ivankiv, Lipovka, Kopylov, Motyzhyn, Buzova, Horenichi, Irpen, Sinyak, Kazarovychi and Sukholuchye settlements with a certain composition of forces. So far, no active offensive actions are conducted. The enemy is attempting to establish a logistics system and restore combat equipment. On the territory of the Republic of Belarus in the area of Kulichiha, 17 km from the state border of Ukraine, the enemy has deployed a base for repair and restoration of military equipment.
On the Seversk direction, the enemy, using separate units from the Central Military District, holds positions near the settlements of Lyubech, Slavutich, Kovrita, Zolotinka, Mena, Branitsa, Kalita, Bogdanovka, Lukashi, Romny, and Nedrigailov. It does not conduct active offensive operations, the main efforts are focused on improving the logistics support system of the grouping.
In the direction of Brovary to Boryspil, the enemy blocks the E95 highway, continues regrouping troops, resupply and reconnaissance activities.The enemy has turned to defense and maintains a network of roadblocks on the key routes of movement. It is likely that after regrouping the troops and introducing additional units the enemy will resume offensive actions to seize the left-bank part of the city of Kiev.
In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy maintains positions in the areas of Severodonetsk, Svatove, Kupyansk, Bolshaya Pisarevka, Moskovsky Bobryak and Lebedin with a certain composition of forces. It continues to form additional units, consolidate in the achieved lines, regroup troops, restore combat readiness of units, replenish ammunition and fuel and lubricants in order to blockade Kharkov and capture the city of Izyum. No active offensive actions are noted, with the exception of the town of Izyum, where the enemy is attempting to seize a populated area.
In the Donetsk and Tavrichesk directions, the enemy holds positions near Borovo, Ternovo, Novokrasnyanka, Luhanske, Horlivka, Panteleimonovka, Novotroitske and Gulyaypole.
With the support of army aviation, it attempts to develop an offensive in the Volnovakha direction. The enemy forces captured the settlements of Staromlinovka, Yevgenyevka, Pavlovka, Egorovka and were halted at unfavorable positions.
The occupiers exerted fire on our troops' positions near Severodonetsk. With the support of artillery, they carried out assault actions and captured the eastern outskirts of the settlement of Rubizhne.
The enemy did not conduct active offensive operations in Yuzhnobuzhskoe direction. Actively engaged in aerial reconnaissance. Continues advancing in the direction of Krivoy Rog. During the day, the enemy continued advancing in the direction of Arkhangelskoye and Novovorontsovka, but was stopped.
In all directions of the offensive, the enemy is actively covering civilian infrastructure and civilians.
