Operational information as of 18.00 12.03.2022 on the Russian invasion.
The seventeenth day of the heroic opposition of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion.Due to the unsuccessful attempt to conduct an offensive operation, the occupiers are forced to change tactics. Due to significant logistical problems and stretched communications, the enemy is unable to provide its units with fuel and lubricants, food and ammunition, which induces the occupiers to resort to looting and robbing the local population, stores, pharmacies, etc. In addition, the actions of the occupiers are accompanied by numerous cases of grave crimes against the civilian population.
The occupation units, left to their own devices, are demoralized and have an extremely low moral and psychological state. There has been an increase in the number of attempts to return to Russian territory on their own. Taking into account large losses of military personnel and problems with staffing of reserve units and units, the command of the armed forces of the Russian Federation attracts so-called conscripts from the territory of the OBORO and military mercenaries from Abkhazia, South Ossetia and prisoners from Russian penitentiaries to carry out combat operations on the territory of Ukraine.
In almost all directions of advancement, the occupiers attempt to consolidate their hold on previously seized lines, but have no significant success. The enemy continues rocket and bomb attacks on critical infrastructure, residential areas and airfields, cynically disregarding the norms of International Humanitarian Law.
On the Volyn direction, the threat of sabotage at military and civilian infrastructure facilities remains. The defense force grouping continues to conduct a defense operation in the Southern, Eastern and Northern directions, covering the state border and the sea coast. A stabilization operation and territorial defence tasks are being carried out in certain areas.
