If Alexander Lukashenko gives the Belarusian army an order to invade Ukraine, the Belarusian military will be destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, says Alexei Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office.
"The Belarusian army will be destroyed here. Everyone who comes in here will be destroyed. And for the Belarusians, it will be a time of heavy sanctions and effective accusations of participation in the international crime that is Russia's attack on Ukraine," Arestovich said on a telethon Friday, when asked about the possible consequences of the invasion of Ukraine for Lukashenko and the Belarusian army.
Arestovich expressed confidence that "the Belarusian people, army and government don't need it."
