Saboteurs were detained on the border with Ukraine, - Lukashenko

During a counter-terrorism operation in western Belarus, saboteurs were detained. This was announced by President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA reports.

"Just today, several saboteurs were detained on the Ukrainian border. Using drones, some Ukrainian citizens crawled across the border to our country, smuggling explosives to commit sabotage, primarily in Russia and Belarus," he said.

According to him, all the saboteurs have been detained, and there are Belarusians among them.

Lukashenko said that attempts to infiltrate Belarus by saboteurs occur "almost two or three times a week."

He also claims that the Belarusian opposition is negotiating in the West to join the western territories of the Russian Federation in the event of its defeat in Ukraine.

"We'll probably get something from the Smolensk, Bryansk, and possibly Pskov regions. And we should give western Belarus to Poland," Lukashenko said.

As we reported earlier, Belarus introduced a counter-terrorism operation regime in part of the Gomel region.
