The AFU General Staff has distributed operational data on the Russian invasion.
As noted by the military, the sixteenth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion continues.
The General Staff reports:
"The enemy, having suffered losses in the Polessky, Seversky, and Yuzhnobuzhsky operational areas, is stopped, trying to consolidate, forced to do so at unfavorable lines. In the Donetsk direction, the defenders of Ukraine fought back against the enemy during tough combat operations, the pace of the invaders' offensive slowed down.
Kiev and Mariupol remain the enemy's main areas of concentration, as well as advances through Krivoy Rog, Kremenchuk, Nikopol and Zaporizhzhia.
Unable to achieve success, the enemy continues to launch missile and bomb attacks on cities deep in Ukrainian territory, such as Dnipro, Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk.
The formation of enemy reserves and their overturning into areas of combat operations on the territory of Ukraine continues.
There has been a build-up of the anti-aircraft defense system of the occupier's troops in the Donetsk and Tavria directions.
In Volyn, the threat of sabotage of military and civilian infrastructure remains.
"On the Polessk direction the occupants do not take active offensive actions. They carry out measures to restore the combat readiness of their units.
As a result of active, coordinated actions of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the defense forces, the enemy suffered significant losses, which forced him to retreat from the previously captured settlements of the Kiev region. In the Seversk direction there were no active offensive actions on the part of the enemy. In some areas the enemy carried out fire raids and reconnaissance of the positions of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy holds Sumy in encirclement and partially blocks Kharkiv from the north. Conducts a regrouping of troops.
In the Donetsk and Tavrichesk directions, the occupiers do not abandon attempts to seize the cities of Mariupol and Severodonetsk, with no success. Plans to establish control over Nikolayev, advance in the directions to Zaporozhye and Krivoy Rog were not realized by the enemy. Due to significant losses, the invaders are forced to switch to defense and are trying to carry out all-round support.
