Deputy Head of the Presidential Office stated that Ukraine is open to a neutral status. However, Kiev needs tough security guarantees so that war and aggression will not happen again.

This was reported by CNN.

"Ukraine is open to neutrality if NATO is not ready to accept Ukraine at the moment. But at the same time, we need firm security guarantees for Ukraine so that these terrible wars, this terrible aggression will not be repeated in the future," he added.

Zhovkva said Ukraine is ready to work with Russian President Vladimir Putin and its neighbors to create a "renewed European security system."

"My country, the Ukrainian people deserve to be part of the European family... Ukraine is fighting for the security of all of Europe. So when French President Emmanuel Macron talks about possible European security, how can he speak without President Zelensky at the table? Without President Zelensky and Ukraine in the European Union?" added Zhovkva.

We shall remind you that earlier Zhovkva did not rule out a discussion of Ukraine's possible neutrality in peace talks with Russia.
