As of today, the city of Mariupol remains completely blocked for the evacuation of people and for the delivery of humanitarian cargo. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk on one of the TV channels.

"There is hope that today will be somewhat better, but Mariupol remains completely blocked, both for the evacuation of people and for the humanitarian cargo.

There is fighting there now between Orekhovo and Polohy, our humanitarian cargo is back in Zaporizhzhia. This is the fourth day when we can't deliver water, necessary medicines, and food," she said.

The situation is somewhat better in the Kiev direction, continued Vereshchuk. We are talking about the evacuation of the cities of Bucha, Irpen, Gostomel, she added.

"In this case, we have the opportunity to evacuate for now, but the situation is very uncertain," Vereshchuk said, urging residents of the Kiev region to evacuate at the first opportunity.

Izyum in the Kharkiv region, a city hit by enemy bombing and shelling, managed to evacuate about 2,000 people. A humanitarian cargo was also delivered there, Kirill Timoshenko, deputy head of the Office of the President, said.

"Forty-four evacuation buses with about 2,000 people have left Izyum," Tymoshenko said on Telegram.

Since last day, more than 60,000 citizens have been evacuated from the cities of Ukraine that are now most affected by the Russian occupiers. This was stated by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in a daily video message.

"Despite everything, yesterday every hour there was updated information about the people who managed to be evacuated to the free territory of Ukraine. In total, during yesterday's 24 hours - plus more of those who did not make it to the night and continued evacuation in the morning - we managed to save more than 60,000 of our citizens," said the head of state.
