Thursday, March 10, a trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Turkey, Ukraine and Russia will be held in Antalya, Turkey. This was announced by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Monday, writes Anadolu.

The minister explained that the meeting will be held within the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, which both Sergey Lavrov and Dmytro Kuleba agreed to participate in.

"Lavrov and Kuleba will arrive in Antalya. The meeting will take place with my participation. We have made great efforts to organize it," the Turkish minister said.

Çavuşoğlu expressed hope that the upcoming meeting will contribute to peace and stability in the region.

The absolute priority is the cessation of hostilities, Çavuşoğlu stressed.

The Turkish Foreign Minister also said that more than 12,000 Turkish citizens have been evacuated from Ukraine since the start of hostilities.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that he was ready to meet with the foreign minister of the occupying country, Sergey Lavrov, if such talks could be meaningful and it would fit into the general framework of the negotiation process with Russia.
