British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called for joining a six-point plan to respond to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He will present it during a meeting with world leaders. This was reported by CNN.
Johnson stressed that after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, there has already been an unprecedented wave of international condemnation of the Kremlin's actions, in particular the largest package of sanctions against the Russian economy in history has been applied. However, this is not enough to protect Ukraine from the Kremlin's attempts to "rewrite the rules with military force."
"Russian President Vladimir Putin must be defeated, he must see that he has failed in this act of aggression," Johnson said.
According to the press release, the plan calls on countries to mobilize "an international humanitarian coalition for Ukraine, support Ukraine in its efforts to defend itself and maximize economic pressure on Putin's regime."
Johnson intends to tell his colleagues that they must unite under his plan so that Putin "will be defeated in his ambitions."
As a reminder, Zelensky had a telephone conversation with Biden.
"As part of an ongoing dialogue held another conversation with Joe Biden. On the agenda were security issues, financial support for Ukraine and the continuation of the sanctions policy against Russia", - said Zelensky.
