The Ukrainian delegation at the talks with Russia suggested establishing a no-fly and conflict-free zone around nuclear power plants to protect nuclear facilities from shelling. David Arahamia, a member of the Ukrainian delegation and head of the Servant of the People faction, said this during a briefing.
"We at the talks proposed to make a no-fly zone and a conflict-free zone within a radius of 30 kilometers, so that artillery would not hit, around all nuclear facilities. So far the military on their side has not confirmed, they said that together they control Chernobyl, guard and the like. And then Zaporizhzhya happened, next could happen the South Ukraine nuclear power plant, for example, there are big fights in the Mykolayiv region too. Therefore, we believe that this fact is a specific international threat of nuclear terrorism at these sites," Arahamia said.
