The Russian occupants have been methodically shelling the southeastern and southwestern districts of Chernihiv for several hours - homes and infrastructure have been hit. This was reported by Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv regional state administration.
"For several hours the Russian army has been methodically shelling the south-eastern and south-western districts of Chernihiv. They are trying to hit houses and infrastructure," the head of the regional state administration said in Telegram.
For the elimination of fires and emergencies from the State Emergencies Service involved 6 units and 28 people of personnel. "Rescuers can not fully work, because rocket attacks and air strikes are periodically renewed," Chaus added.
"Data on the destruction and casualties are being clarified. I persistently ask the civilian population to stay in shelters," the head of the regional state administration said.
He also noted today that the authorities are working on the organization of a "green" corridor.
On March 3, the Russian occupants struck residential buildings in the center of Chernihiv. As a result of the enemy air raid in Chernihiv, 47 people were killed.
