Kherson does not give up. And asks for a "green corridor"

Kherson Mayor Igor Kolykhayev reports that the city is in a difficult situation, but continues to resist.

"We are still Ukraine Still steadfast. But already heavily in smoke," Kolykhaev writes on his page.

According to Russian media reports, Russian troops have seized control of the city. However, the residents of the city refute these rumors.

"The city is surrounded, but it is Ukrainian," residents of the city told frontnews.

According to the mayor, the city administration building was shelled during the night while employees were there.

"Everyone is alive. But I ask you again: Don't go out of the house. Do not provoke shooting with your actions and behavior. We are in a very difficult situation, there is no need to make it worse," wrote Mayor Igor Kolyhaev.

Today the mayor's office is organizing the search and collection of the killed, the restoration of light, gas, water and heat in the damaged areas.

"But I warn you right away: to accomplish these tasks today is to perform a miracle," Kolykhayev writes on his Facebook.

In the following post, the mayor asked everyone he knows, journalists, to help organize a "green corridor" out of the city to save residents from a humanitarian disaster.

"I count on the friendly participation of journalists and their connections not only with Ukrainian, but also world politicians. Help Kherson get the opportunity to save its residents from the impending humanitarian disaster!", - wrote Igor Kolykhayev on Facebook.
