Ukrainian diplomats fought around the clock for European countries to agree a decision to disconnect the Russian Federation from the international interbank system SWIFT, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video statement.
"It is felt that Ukraine has gained sincerity and attention of the whole normal, civilized world. And the practical result - here it is, SWIFT. How much is in this word for the Russian Federation! Our diplomats fought around the clock and with inspiration for all European countries to agree on a very strong and fair decision to disconnect Russia from the international interbank network. We also have this important victory," said the head of state.
According to him, it means billions of losses for Russia. Zelensky stressed that this is a concrete price for the dastardly invasion of Ukraine.
"We have always said that the truth is behind us, which means that even the greatest achievements are given," the President added.
