The next night is going to be tough for Kiev, especially by morning. Russian troops are close to the capital. This was stated by the mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko in his video address.
"The situation now for Kiev is - without exaggeration - threatening. Next night, near morning, will be very difficult. Russian troops are close to the capital. Disarming military and law enforcement forces in the city sabotage groups," said the mayor of the city.
He stressed that bridges in the capital city have been taken under protection and special control. Military equipment and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are on duty at them.
It is also noted that they equip roadblocks not only at the main entrances to the city, but also install blocks, blocking traffic near strategic facilities in the capital.
"I also want to report that for the defense of the capital from the impending aggressor is already 100% staffed 112 brigade of territorial defense of Kiev. Now we are solving the issue of creating additional units of defenders of Kiev", - said Klitschko.
The mayor also urged Kyiv residents, if they see so-called tags on buildings, sidewalks or green areas, to immediately report them to law enforcement or municipal guards, or to paint over them themselves or cover them with earth.
"These can be crosses, circles drawn with paint to correct enemy fire. Residents of high-rise buildings that have access to the roof outlet are asked to urgently check their roofs for markings. Just recently we received information from residents of a residential complex in the capital. They found a lot of such tags on the territory of their complex. We reported them and promptly began to paint over the marks of the saboteurs themselves," said the mayor.
