The National Bank and the banking system of Ukraine continue to work. Banks continue to ensure that branches operate smoothly in the absence of a threat to life and health of the population.

As noted in the NBU, banks also gradually reinforce ATMs with cash whenever possible.

"The National Bank, for its part, reinforces banks' cash and liquidity with cash. Temporary cash withdrawal limits of 100 thousand hryvnias per day allow to fully cover priority needs," the report said.

Cashless payments are further carried out without limitation, added in the NBU.

As reported, the National Bank adopted a resolution on February 24 in connection with the declaration of martial law throughout Ukraine. The work of the currency market is stopped, except for the sale of currency to customers.

In addition, the NBU imposed a moratorium on cross-border currency payments (except for companies and institutions ensuring the implementation of mobilization plans (tasks) and the government, certain approvals of the NBU).
