Biden held talks with Zelensky, Scholz and Macron: details emerged

United States President Joe Biden had telephone conversations with the leaders of three countries. In particular, the presidents of Ukraine and France, Vladimir Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron, as well as German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

This is reported by the press service of the White House.

Biden in his conversation with Zelensky reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and strongly condemned the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to recognize the "LDPR". He briefed Zelensky on the United States' response, including a plan to impose sanctions.

At the same time, Biden stressed that the United States would respond quickly and decisively to further Russian aggression against Ukraine, acting in close contact with its allies and partners.

At the same time, the U.S. leader discussed with Macron and Olaf the ongoing escalation of Russia's conflict against Ukraine. The leaders of the three countries strongly condemned Putin's decision to recognize the "LDPR."

They also discussed how the United States, France and Germany will continue to coordinate their next steps.

We shall remind you that on February 21, Putin officially recognized the independence of the "LDPR".
