Zelensky introduced the state security strategy of the National Security Council

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has introduced a decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on the strategy for ensuring state security. The document defines real and potential threats to the country. This is reported by the website of the president.

The document states that the Russian Federation continues a hybrid war against Ukraine, using political, economic, information-psychological means and cyberattacks. And the activities of the occupation administrations in Donbas and Crimea can threaten the state security of Ukraine.

It is also noted that destructive propaganda abroad and inside the country foments discord, provokes conflicts, and undermines social unity. And the current state of the system of strategic communications makes it difficult to neutralize this threat against the background of information expansion of the Russian Federation.

The strategy mentions that oligarchs have established control over strategic enterprises and sectors of the national economy, including by influencing political institutions and processes.

"The state policy ... is aimed at timely identification and prevention of external and internal threats to Ukraine's state security, stopping intelligence, terrorist, sabotage and other illegal encroachments of special services of foreign states, as well as organizations, individual groups and individuals on the state security of Ukraine," the document says.
