Ukraine and the UK have agreed on joint actions in case Russia recognizes the terrorist "DPR" and "LPR". This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after negotiations between the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Office Dmytro Kuleba and the British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Development Elizabeth Truss.
The heads of Ukrainian and British diplomacy agreed on the next steps for Kiev and London to deter Russia from further aggression against Ukraine. Kuleba noted the destructiveness of the Russian State Duma's actions to recognize the "LDPR". According to him, this threatens Russia's withdrawal from the Minsk agreements. Ukraine and Britain have coordinated steps to counteract the implementation of such a scenario.
Kuleba expressed gratitude to Britain for its large-scale support of Ukraine in the sphere of security and financial stability against the background of Russia's aggressive actions.
Liz Truss, for her part, supported Ukraine's initiative to activate risk reduction mechanisms according to the Vienna Document and assured the support of Ukrainian initiatives in the OSCE.
The foreign ministers paid special attention to preparations for the creation of a new trilateral format of cooperation between Ukraine, Poland and Great Britain.
