A meeting of the presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities opened in Kharkov on Friday, February 11, chaired by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
On the agenda: the state of implementation of the law of Ukraine "On the basis of national resistance", ensuring financial and energy stability in Ukraine, readiness to implement in 2022 projects of the program "Big building", measures to improve energy efficiency and thermo modernization of the housing stock, as well as the implementation of the presidential decree "On measures to improve the competitiveness of healthcare institutions and additional guarantees for health workers".
Thus, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at a meeting of the Congress, considers the issue of territorial defense important. According to him, there are things that should be implemented exclusively by professionals, in this case - the military.
According to him, a very important and relevant point is the national resistance and territorial defense. Their organization takes place under the auspices and leadership of the AFU.
"Everyone, especially individual leaders on the ground, should be clear: There are things that should be implemented exclusively by professionals, exclusively by the military. Helping them is good, but sometimes not hindering them is much better," Zelensky said.
We shall remind you that the Verkhovna Rada approved the law allowing the volunteers of the Territorial Defense Forces to use their own weapons.
