"Like it or not, bear with it, my beauty": Putin commented on the Minsk agreements. Zelensky responded

Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the situation with the implementation of the Minsk agreements by the parties, quoted a Russian proverb during a press conference after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

"There is simply no other alternative. In Kiev they say they will implement, then they say it will ruin their country. And the incumbent president recently said that he doesn't like a single point of these Minsk agreements. Well, like it - don't like it. Have patience, my beauty! We have to fulfill it!" said Putin.

Already today, after meeting with Emmanuel Macron, Volodymyr Zelensky gave a peculiar response to Vladimir Putin's words. Ukraine is showing wisdom by its patient response to Russia's actions, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"Regarding the Minsk agreements ... the statement "like it - do not like it, tolerate my beauty." Undoubtedly, there are things you can't argue with the president of the Russian Federation: "Ukraine really is beautiful, but about 'mine,' I think it's a little too much," Zelensky said at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Kiev on Tuesday.

"And regarding 'bear my beauty,' I generally think that Ukraine is very patient because that's wisdom. I think it's important not just for Ukraine, but for all of Europe. And it's very important for Russians, because escalation, escalation on the other side, depends on our patience. We are defending our country. We are on our own territory. Our patience responds to provocations when we don't respond to provocations and we behave in a very dignified way. Therefore, it seems to me, there is wisdom in patience," the Ukrainian head of state added.
