French President Emmanuel Macron told reporters that Putin does not intend to recognize the DPR and LPR.

During a press conference in Moscow, Macron hailed the efforts of President Zelensky, who committed himself to withdraw the law, which was not in line with the Minsk agreements. At the same time, as Macron noted, Putin assured him that Russian Authorities will not recognize the DPR and LPR. “It was also clarified that there are also bills in Russia that are being proposed, but he reassured us that this will not happen if it does not comply with the Minsk agreements,” said Emmanuel Macron.

Political analyst Volodymyr Kopchak told Frontnews, Moscow does not recognize the separatist regimes in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, because in this case Russia will lose any influence on the Normandy process.

"Such a “recognition” is officially burying “Minsk”, and by the hands of the Kremlin," Volodymyr Kopchak said.
