Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock discussed the supply of defense weapons to Ukraine and "found both points of contact and a draft solution. Kuleba said this during a press conference following the talks, the UNN correspondent reports.
"As for the issue of weapons, yes, of course, we talked about it. How could we not talk about it. But, it is very important that today we, I will say diplomatically: we talked not only about what Germany cannot do for one reason or another, but also about what Germany can do and what it intends to do to support Ukraine, specifically in this area, in defense and security, "- said the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
" It was a frank conversation, we really have excellent positions here. But our task with Annalena is not to quarrel, but to seek common ground and solutions. And I think that today we found both common ground and a draft solution. Now we will wait for the German government's step," he added.
We shall remind you that earlier Germany refused to supply defensive weapons to Ukraine.
At the same time, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Kiev does not lose hope of reaching an agreement with Berlin.
