In Ukraine the construction of roads, bridges and railway infrastructure continues at an active pace. This was noted by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal at the meeting of the Government. At the same time, he said that river transportation remains a promising direction for Ukraine. This is reported by the Government portal.
So that Ukraine could actively develop the river infrastructure, the government included the Administration of the river ports in the list of recipients of budgetary funds provided for further implementation of the transport strategy of Ukraine.
"This will allow to carry out activities to modernize hydraulic engineering, berthing facilities and other important activities," - said Denis Shmygal.
According to the Prime Minister, the system of internal water transport of Ukraine has a huge logistical potential, because it will significantly reduce the load on the roads and railroads.
