Shmygal expects to sign an agreement on "industrial visa-free travel" with the EU in 2022

Prime Minister Denis Shmygal states the possibility of signing an agreement with the European Union on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of industrial products (Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of industrial products, ACAA), the so-called "industrial visa-free" by the end of 2022, writes Interfax-Ukraine.

"The interaction of the parties in the framework of the preliminary assessment and regular reports on the implementation of the recommendations provided gives us reason to hope for the signing of the ACAA before the end of 2022," he said at a Commission meeting on coordination of the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on Wednesday.

In addition, according to Shmygal, Ukraine also expects to join the EU's joint transit procedure this year.

Among the government's priorities is also the conclusion of an agreement with the EU on the liberalization of international transit freight traffic.

As reported, in early January 2022, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanyshyna said that the agreement on "industrial visa-free travel" with the EU will not be signed in 2022.
