There were clashes near the Pecherskyi district court in Kiev, where today the judge should announce a decision on the election of a preventive measure for the fifth president of Ukraine, MP Petro Poroshenko. After that, additional forces of law enforcers were sent there, reports UNN.

The judge of the Kiev Pecherskyy district court, Oleksiy Sokolov, will leave the deliberation room on 19 January to announce a decision on a preventive measure for the fifth president of Ukraine, MP Petro Poroshenko.
The Office of the Prosecutor General asked to apply to the fifth president of Ukraine, MP Petro Poroshenko the measure of restraint in the form of detention with the possibility of bail in the amount of 1 billion UAH.
Poroshenko was reported on suspicion of treason and aiding terrorist organizations in criminal proceedings regarding the criminal scheme of coal supply from the temporarily occupied territories and aiding terrorist organizations "L/DNR". The Fifth President of Ukraine was summoned to the GBI on December 23, but he was overseas.
On January 6, Poroshenko announced that he would return to Ukraine on January 17. His lawyer claimed that there was an order to detain Poroshenko to bring him to court.
