The Kremlin does not want the United States to participate in talks with Ukraine

The Kremlin does not believe that the United States should be involved in the discussion of "relations" between Ukraine and Russia. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday, the UNN reported, citing TASS.

"Why involve the United States to discuss bilateral Russian-Ukrainian relations when they are entirely indexed now to the progress of the implementation of the Minsk agreements, that is, more precisely, to the lack of progress? I don't think the United States of America is needed for that," Peskov said.

Speaking about the possibility of a trilateral format in principle, the Kremlin spokesman suggested that "maybe Kiev has some other topics in mind."

"But that we all have yet to find out," the spokesman noted.

As a reminder, head of the Office of the President Andrei Yermak, during a conversation with American diplomat and director of the Atlantic Council Eurasia Center John Herbst, said that Zelensky suggested that Biden hold a trilateral summit together with Putin.

According to Yermak, Zelensky does not rule out holding such talks in the form of a video conference.

The Kremlin said that it had not received any proposals on the Russia-US-Ukraine summit from the US side.
